Summer Glau
The first time she appeared on TV was as a guest actor on the 2002 episode of Angel. Director Joss Whedon saw her and chose her to play River Tam on his short-lived TV series Firefly. She also starred in the role of the sequel Serenity. Glau had previously tried to audition for the part of the role of a Power Ranger (White Wild Force Ranger Alyssa Enrile) in Power Rangers Wild Force but was unable to beat actress Jessica Rey before meeting Whedon.Glau appeared on the episode "Love Conquers Al" of the TV series Cold Case. She was the role of Shelly, the high school senior in Sleepover. She also appeared on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation episode, "What's Eating Gilbert Grissom?" " Season two of The Unit as Crystal Burns (the girl who plays Jeremy Erhart). Glau played Tess Doerner (a paranoid, schizophrenia-prone returnee) in season two of The 4400. From season three, she was a recurring role. Mammoth was also her horror-comedy role. Glau played the role of The Initiation of Sarah, an ABC Family TV movie. Glau played Cameron Phillips, a Terminator-infiltration unit sent back to Skynet to defend John Connor (and Sarah Connor). The seventh episode of the series, "The Demon Hand" included a number of scenes that featured Glau, in character as Cameron was seen dancing ballet. In the second season's episode "Allison From Palmdale" (season 2), Glau played Allison Young, Cameron's human doppelganger. Glau has also guest-starred as herself in the 2009 episode of the CBS comedy show The Big Bang Theory
