Zoe Saldana (born June 19 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. Her father is Dominican as was her mother, while her father is Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens. After she turned 10, she and her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe discovered a keen passion for dancing while in the United States. Her first training was with the ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy to learn ballet, as well as many different dance styles.
