Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She founded The Huffington Post, is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Thrive Global as well an writer of 15 novels. Arianna Huffington has been a TV host, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. She is also the founder of The Huffington Post, an independently-liberal online newsmagazine. Born in Greece and moved to England when she was sixteen. In Cambridge University, she graduated with an MA of Economics. She was the first student non-UK to become the president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Following her graduation, she was an influential conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political scene. The fame she gained allowed her to persuade a number of stars to voice their views about current affairs, culture and politics. Arianna first gained notoriety in 2003 as she stood in California's recall vote, replacing then Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna led an initiative in Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient vehicles. Forbes listed her as one of as one of the "most important women" within the field of media with her ranking at the 12th spot. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the president of the media division at AOL. The group included several AOL-owned properties, such as Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Their parents are Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant and journalist. Her character was formed by her closeness to her mother and her bond with her father despite being extremely close to him. When she was a teen, she showed leadership traits that she's still known for. She moved to England at 16 to continue her education and was accepted into Girton College Cambridge. While in college she was a member of the college debate Society Cambridge Union where she became the third foreign, and first female president. She graduated in 1972 with a Master's Degree in Economics. After her graduation, she was a columnist-critic and TV host. Also, with Bernard Levin she appeared on an episode of Face the music.
