Flanagan was a reporter of the week for The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan was a reporter with ESPN between 2000 and 2006. She covered for ESPN on the sidelines of college football matches from 2000 until 2006. She was a reporter from college sidelines for five years and covered all aspects of the College World Series Women's Tennis Association's Championships for Men's College Basketball as well as the NCAA Women's tournament. Flanagan also worked as a journalist at SportsCenter which she covered often on the Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC Chargers.
